Sapura Energy Berhad has secured three new contracts and two contract extensions worth RM774 Million
In the company announcement to Bursa Malaysia dated 27 September 2019, the contracts involved Engineering and Construction, and Drilling works in Malaysia, Brunei and Thailand.
According to Group, Sapura Fabrication Sdn Bhd (Sapura Fabrication) has been awarded a contract from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) for the provision of Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) works for Salman Project. The scope of the contract is divided into two (2) parts consisting of Salman Greenfield and Egret East Greenfield Scope.
The Salman greenfield scope entails EPCI works and support for hook-up, pre-commissioning and commissioning for five packages; wellhead platform and substructures (SLWJ-01), water injection pipeline and umbilical from CPWA-07, HP oil pipeline to Selangkir (SKWJ-01), water and chemical injection module in CPWA-07, and Kuala Belait Marine construction yard (MCY) upgrade. The Egrest East greenfield scope consists of Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) services with an optional EPCI scope for wellhead platforms, substructures and pipelines.
Meanwhile in Malaysia, Sapura Fabrication was awarded a contract from PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of Procurement, Construction, Hook-up and Commissioning (PCC), and start-up works of BNJT-K BN-84 well tie-in for Bardegg-2 and Baronia Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) Development Project.
In Drilling segment, Sapura Drilling Asia Limited has won a contract with PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) for the provision of its tender-assist drilling rig, Sapura T-17, for the Bongkot gas field in the Gulf of Thailand.
Meanwhile, Sapura Drilling Asia Sdn Bhd has been awarded a contract extension by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd for the provision of its semi-submersible tender-assist drilling rig, Sapura Berani. The contracts entails the drilling of five (5) additional wells at Erb West, offshore Sabah and Dulang facilities, offshore Terengganu. This contract is expected to be completed by Q2 FY2021.
In addition, Sapura Drilling Sdn Bhd has been awarded a contract extension from Brunei Shell Petroleum Company Sdn Bhd (BSP) for the provision of its semi-submersible tender-assist drilling rig, Sapura Pelaut . The scope of contract extension is for a firm period of one (1) year from Q1 FY2021.
